CCCA is a non-profit volunteer organization. We are dedicated to
bringing all Chinese people from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hongkong, and
Chinese-Americans together. We uphold the ideal that all the Chinese
communities in Connecticut, including all social, cultural, scholastic
and religious groups, be united to promote the grandeur of Chinese
culture, and to better serve and contribute to the cultural diversity
of American society.
To achieve this goal, we provide high-quality cultural events and
performing arts to our community. The major yearly events include the
Spring Festival Show and other Chinese culture shows throughout the
year, which are filled with traditional Chinese songs, folk dance,
instrumental music, Peking Opera, etc. from top
professional/semi-professional artists.
CCCA members are volunteers who are willing to devote their talents,
wisdom and effort to bridge the gaps between Chinese communities, to
promote Chinese culture, and to help newcomers to better adjust to the
American community.
CCCA currently has two talents groups, CCCA Dance Troupe, a Chinese
folk dance team and Chinese Folk Music band, and a Chinese instrument
ensemble. CCCA talents meet regularly and work hard in practicing their
specialties.
We cordially invite members of Association of Chinese Students and
Scholars at Yale (ACSSY), Taiwan Student Association, East Asia
Studies, Association of American Chinese Students and Chinese churches,
and other interested individuals to join our board or become
volunteers. We also welcome everyone with any cultural or ethnic
background to actively participate in our cultural events.
We welcome any suggestions or comments you may have.
Sincerely yours,
CCCA Organizers |
